Retinol (Vitamin A Derivative): The most recognized agent in targeting texture and tone to repair and maintain damaged and/or aging skin. This high-strength vegan retinol penetrates the deeper layers of the skin to boost cell turnover, encouraging new cell growth. New cell growth creates a “resurfacing” that leads to smoother skin texture. Retinol also stimulates collagen and elastin production. Skin aging is associated with changes in collagen fiber leading to deep wrinkles and sagging. By stimulating production and preventing breakdown of collagen, the skin “matrix” is better able to maintain strength and elasticity.
Aronia Berry/ Rosehip Oil Infusion: This fusion of Aronia berry has been proven to be a stronger antioxidant than more well-known “super” berries due to high levels of phenolic acid and polyphenolic flavonoids, and anthocyanins. UV light exposure can lead to skin damage due to oxidative stress and inflammation. Aronia extract has been shown to reduce collagen disruption.
